“Eugène made tough decisions in a difficult time and provided the strategy to growth”

“The intense education of our team provided the skills and confidence we needed to implement effectively”
Coming from years of experience in aviation research and operational change,
understanding operations is the driving heartbeat for beneficial change.
Change needs to benefit operators responsible for safe and efficient operations. C-level and operational commitment is a must. Change is always designed by and for operators understanding the challenges.
Operational change is rarely the simplistic purchase of automation systems. Change requires time and process for human operators end their procedures and systems.
Stakeholder collaboration towards common objectives shapes confidence while bridging cultural and operational differences. With the right people in the driver seat, results will appear. Eugène facilitates stakeholder sessions overcoming concerns, challenges, risks and aligns deviating objectives.
Growing up in the Netherlands Korfball was the sport I played. This mixed team sport, with
high dependency on teammates’ performance, was foundational to my adult life and career.
And it shaped my understanding of collaboration early.
During my Computer Science education in Amsterdam I founded a student korfball club with
friends and created a start-up software company with partners. Driving and leading new
creations provided friendships, entrepreneurial experience, partnerships and a lot more
collaborations.
With a Master degree in Science I entered the world of aviation, where skills and knowledge
evolved at the National Aerospace Centre (NLR) in Amsterdam. Understanding the role of
operators through validation experiments, next stop was Eurocontrol Head Quarters in
Brussels.
Yet the entrepreneur inside never left. A restart of that software company in 2007 enabled
me to travel the globe and lead businesses in Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates and
Indonesia. Leading teams in different nations and cultures provided experience and a
broader understanding.
Since then I became a family man, changing life experiences and responsibilities. That too
brings daily lessons in collaboration.
After finalising my study I entered the world of aviation, where research and development at National Aerospace Centre (NLR) in Amsterdam enabled me to evolve skills and knowledge, gaining me a path to Eurocontrol Head Quarters in Brussels.
The entrepreneur in me was always there. A restart of that software company in 2007 enabled me to travel the globe and lead local businesses in Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. Generating new professional teams in different nations and cultures provided me the experience abroad allowed me to create an even broader understanding.
Since that time I became a family man, changing life experiences and responsibilities. And it brings daily lessons in collaboration.
